INFANTS: 0-6 MONTHS
OBJECTIVE: Develop trust and a sense of security.
NEEDS: Loving, calm and nurturing setting.
CURRICULUM: Rocking, singing songs, tummy time, colors and shapes exposure.
SOUND AWARENESS: Rattles, music and voices.
TOUCH: Sensory balls, cloth books, blankets and bottles.
COLORS: Primary colored toys and books of primary colors.
LEARNING EXPOSURE: Reading books to infants.
CENTER PROVIDES: Formula and cereal (if needed).
PARENT PROVIDES: Instructions for feeding. Diapers, wipes, 2 sets of clothes, small blanket, pacifier, bottles, and a diaper bag.
PLEASE: All items need to be labeled with child’s name.
We clean and sanitize as needed during the day and before each teacher goes home. Each infant will be sent home with a daily report of meal times, diaper changes, nap times and any new event the parents may want to know about. Your infant will advance to the next classroom when the Director deems appropriate.
INFANTS 7-12 MONTHS
OBJECTIVE: Create awareness for sight, sound, touch, movement, sit-up, crawl and walk.
NEEDS: Bright and roomy environment.
CURRICULUM: Develop large motor muscles, singing songs, colors, shapes, sensory and reading stories.
CENTER PROVIDES: Formula, cereal, fruit and vegetables.

CURRICULUM: Learn boundaries for right and wrong. Respond to no, stop and play with learning toys. Exposure to centers, instruments, books and walking toys.
CENTER PROVIDES: Table food, breakfast, lunch and snack.

OBJECTIVE: Learn classroom expectations. Colors, numbers and letters. Explore, touch, pound and move everything.
NEEDS: Structure, freedom to explore, books, musical instruments, simple puzzles and toys that challenge.
CURRICULUM: Start social skills, sharing, colors, numbers, letters, days of the week, months of the year, put 3-4 words together, color, puzzles and books.
CENTER PROVIDES: Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
PARENT PROVIDES: Diapers, wipes, 2 sets of clothes, small blanket, pacifier, sippy cups and a diaper bag.

PRE-SCHOOL: 2 YEAR OLDS
OBJECTIVE: Clear classroom boundaries. Start potty training. Learn how to play and share in each defined center in the classroom.
NEEDS: Structure and classroom rules. Centers that are well defined. Room to explore. Be challenged.
CURRICULUM: Consistent daily schedule. Colors, numbers, shapes, days of the week and months of the year. Imaginative play time, sensory, good choices and redirection.
CENTER PROVIDES: Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
PARENT PROVIDES: Diapers or pull-ups, wipes, 2 sets of clothes, small blanket and backpack.

CERTIFIED PRE-K READINESS: 3 YEAR OLDS
OBJECTIVE: Start the process for a structured classroom. To become self confident, self-reliant and experience a feeling of success.
NEEDS: Freedom to explore the immediate environment. Wonder, discover, dance, music, sensory and arts and crafts.
CURRICULUM: Manners, rules, respect, directions, share, self-expression and values. Recognize colors, numbers, letters, shapes, days of the week and months of the year. Learn how to hold a pencil and how to use scissors.
CENTER PROVIDES: Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
PARENT PROVIDES: Diapers or pull-ups, wipes, 2 sets of clothes, small blanket and backpack.

What Your Child Will Know When Entering Pre-K
- State his or her name, age and birthday.
- Identify some colors and shapes.
- Count from 1 to 10.
- Understand the concept of “same” and “different.”
- Recognize some letters.
- Tell stories.
- Express thoughts and needs verbally, with a growing vocabulary.
- Follow simple instructions (e.g., “Please put your toys away.”)
- Sit still while listening to a story.
- Dress himself or herself.
- Use child-sized scissors.
- Kick and throw a ball.
- Play with other children and share toys.
- Engage in pretend play.
- Be comfortable in group settings.
CERTIFIED PRE-K: 4 YEAR OLDS
OBJECTIVE: Graduate knowing numbers, colors, shapes, ABC’s, days of the weeks, months of the year, write their name, manners, responsibility, sharing, cooperation, know good choices, and be ready for Kindergarten.
NEEDS: Structured classroom study time and playtime. Age appropriate rules. Freedom for self-expression.
CURRICULUM: Texas Ready Pre-K Program. Memorize and be able to pick out colors, shapes and letters. Write their name. Know their home address, phone number, mom’s and dad’s name. Be responsible for toys, cleanup and actions.
CENTER PROVIDES: AISD Accredited Pre-K Teachers. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. Graduation ceremony with family and friends invited to attend.
PARENT PROVIDES: 2 sets of clothes, small blanket, backpack and pay for graduation cap and gown.

What Your Child Will Know When Entering Kindergarten
- Recall his or her first and last name and the names of family members.
- Recognize and name the following colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black and white.
- Recognize and name the following simple shapes: square, triangle, circle, rectangle and oval.
- Recognize and name numbers from 1 to 10.
- Count from 1 to 10.
- Understand the use of ordinal numbers (i.e., first, second, third).
- Recognize and name most upper- and lowercase letters.
- Identify parts of his or her body, and basic articles of clothing (e.g., hat, shoes, shirt).
- Identify familiar buildings (e.g., school, store, hospital).
- Understand general time concepts (e.g., yesterday, today, tomorrow, last week).
- Follow simple two-step directions.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: 5-12 YEARS OLD
OBJECTIVE: Complete any homework assignments. Wind down from school.
NEEDS: Space – somewhere to wind down from school. Separate area to do homework assignments.
ACTIVITIES: Dramatic play, tea party, race cars, air hockey, table games, puzzles, arts and crafts, movies and read books.
CENTER PROVIDES: Before and after school transportation. Breakfast and afternoon snacks or supper. Help with homework.
SUMMER CAMP *** SPRING BREAK
CHRISTMAS VACATION *** SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
5-12 YEARS OLD
NEEDS: Space to have FUN on days off and vacation from school.
ACTIVITIES: Field trips, sports, music, reading, dancing, cooking, tea parties, racing cars, games, exploring student’s environment, science projects, and visiting in the community.
CENTER PROVIDES: Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
PARENT PROVIDES: The cost (if any) for field trips.
